Jet Blue loony STEVEN SLATER who’s openly gay has been trying to divorce the wife he married as a teen for 15 years – AND they’re still legally hitched!
RadarOnline.com reports Slater, the flight attendant who went on a tarmac tirade, got married to a woman -in Las Vegas as a teenager.
Yet, according to court documents, it took the gay flight attendant’s ‘wife’ until 2006 — 15 years after she said ‘I Do’ — to file papers to have their nups annulled.
Before the Jet Blue flight attendant blew a fuse, grabbed some beer and bolted out an emergency slide at JFK Airport in New York Monday, he married Cynthia Susanne Niethamer May 5, 1991.
The two met had when they were 16 while working at a JC Penney store.
But according to a petition for ‘Nullity of Marriage’ filed in Los Angeles four years ago, the high-school sweethearts separated January 1, 1992.
Docs show Niethamer cited ‘Fraud’ as the reason for the divorce.
However, the couple still aren’t divorced, as court records show the case is still ‘pending’.
Now, if Slater cashes in on his new found fame, Niethamer may be eligible to a share of any profits the tarmac tantrum tosser makes since their divorce isn’t finalized regardless of the fact that police found Slater in bed with his long time boyfriend post Jet Blue hissy fit.
