The ENQUIRER has learned Rielle was in discussions with the talk-show titan about launching a "View"-style chatfest on Oprah’s new cable channel.
"Rielle really thought Oprah would love her talk-show idea, which was a combination of ‘The View’ and a self-help format," an insider told The ENQUIRER.
"But Oprah told her, ‘I loved having you as a guest, but I can’t hire you.’
"Rielle was devastated. But Oprah knows a show with John Edwards’ mistress at the helm would never go over well with her mostly female audience."
