COPS SEARCH JORAN’S HOME, DIG UP EVIDENCE

Dutch detectives launching a new investigation into the murder of Natalee Holloway believed they would finally find her body when they swooped without warning on the home of the prime suspect, The ENQUIRER has learned.

Tellingly, the massive two-day police operation at the Aruban home of Joran van der Sloot included diggers and cadaver dogs trained to sniff out human remains.

With the second anniversary of Natalee’s disappearance looming, the dramatic search ended after 14 hours with cops carting away boxes of evidence – and still pursuing their grim goal.

“The Dutch police team is confident they will find Natalee’s remains soon,” a source close to the investigation told The ENQUIRER.

Natalee vanished on May 30, 2005 – the last night of a graduation trip for her class from Mountain Brook High School in Alabama – after leaving a bar with 18-year-old Joran and two of his pals.
