As he walks into a bank with his bulging belly and bald head, the bespectacled senior looks like a mild-mannered retiree coming to deposit his Social Security check.
But the “Granddad Bandit,” has come to rob the place!
In fact, the kindly-looking robber has pulled off an incredible 21 bank heists in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Texas over the past year and a half.
The bold crook began his crime spree in Mobile, Ala., on Jan. 16, 2009 — and strikes at intervals of one or two months. He pulled his latest heist May 18.
“Usually, bank robbers confine their activities to one particular area, but this guy has robbed banks over a huge section of the country,” FBI Agent Zack Lowe told The ENQUIRER.
“And he’s quite brazen. He makes no attempt to disguise himself, which again is unusual.”
