Super-conglom – the Walt Disney company buys Marvel Comics bringing Spidey and Iron Man into the Maus Haus!
The Walt Disney Company revealed today it’s buying Marvel Entertainment for $4 Billion for cash and stock as Miley Cyrus preps to meet The Incredible Hulk!
Under the deal, Disney also owns ABC, acquires ownership of more than 5,000 Marvel characters many of whom were created by Stan "The Man" Lee and Jack" King" Kirby.
Market analyst says it make Disney highly competitive in the young male market for boys which will add a one- two punch to it’s femme force of tween gal faves like Hannah Montana and The Jonas Brothers.
How this affects Marvel’s planned movie output is anyone’s gues but industry insiders expect cross-over stunt casting like Nick Jonas as Captain America and Miley Cyrus as The She-Hulk with multi-platform merchandising such as LPs, and videogames in addition to comics, movies, cartoons, movies.
