WORLD WITHOUT OPRAH

With TV titan Oprah Winfrey‘s announcement of ending her 25 year reign, industry insiders reveal her master plan.

As Oprah kills the golden goose that launched her empire with The Oprah Winfery Show officially ending September 9, 2011, what’s next?

First, the departure of her syndicated show allows time for the Big O to launch her own cable network OWN as the ENQUIRER reported previously.

OWN, a co-venture with the Discovery network, has been stalled several times but industry insiders tells The ENQUIRER in all likelihood Oprah will launch a new talk show on the new network.

Oprah’s departure from the syndicated daytime landscape will prompt radical changes in who’ll grab the time slots vacated by the Big O.

Oprah’s leaving is "similar to what happened in morning radio after Howard Stern split for satellite radio", broadcast bible Variety says.

There’ll be a bidding war among rivals networks and jockeying to position key talk players like Ellen and Dr. Oz on rival chains.

Regardless, Oprah’s new channel owns the rights to every single Oprah Winfrey Show since first launching a quarter century ago.

Expect reruns or repackaged shows with top celeb guests like couch happy Tom Cruise as Oprah Classic on her new network.

"I certainly never could have imagined the yellow brick road of blessings that would have led me to this moment," the Big O told her TV aud today.
