“WELCOME BACK KOTTER STAR” MARCIA STRASSMAN DIES

“Welcome Back Kotter" star Marcia Strassman has died at 66.

The sad news was posted online by pals, Cher and director Bob Weide.

Reportedly, she had been battling breast cancer.

 Cher tweeted that Stassman was a "funny, talented friend."

Strassman's  first major TV role was as  nurse Margie Cutler on six eps of M*A*S*H. 

She then landed the co-starring role of Julie Kotter on ABC'sWelcome Back, Kotter in 1975, playing Gabe Kaplan’s wife for four seasons. 

She later appeared on numerous other series, including The Love Boat, The Rockford Files, Tremors, Third Watch and Magnum, P.I. 

Marcia also starred in the films Honey I Shrunk the Kids and its sequel Honey I Blew Up the Kid
