Jett, the son of John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston has died suddenly.
16 year old Jett Travolta was found dead at the Travolta vacation home after apparently hitting his head in the bathtub and was declared dead at Rand Memorial Hospital on Grand Bahama Island.
"At this point, we know that John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s only son, Jett, had a seizure at around 10 a.m. this morning," Travolta attorney Michael Ossi said. "All attempts to revive him were unsuccessful." Mouth to mouth rescuctitation was performed by John after discovery of the boy’s body by a caretaker, The ENQUIRER has learned.
Jett Travolta is believed to have suffered from a developmental disease known as Kawasaki Syndrome, an inflammatory disorder of the artery walls that occurs in children and can lead to heart disease.
Practicing Scientologists, John and Kelly put Jett through founder L. Ron Hubbard‘s detoxification program in an attempt to cleanse him of all allergins prior to diagnosis. It had been reported Jett was autistic which the couple publicly denied. It is against Scientology doctrine to prescribe medication for forms of mental illness, as Tom Cruise has repeatedly stated during interviews.
"John and Kelly are happy when their children are happy," Ossi stated. "This is the worst day of John’s life."
UPDATE: An autopsy will be performed Monday prior to burial in Ocala, Florida. Bahamnian police are currently conducting an investigation.
