SYDNEY POLLACK DEAD

Oscar winning director Sydney Pollack died Monday afternoon at his home in Los Angeles from cancer. He was 73.

Pollack, whose resume includes Hollywood hits like Tootsie and The Way We Were, earned an Academy Award for directing and producing Out of Africa.

Audiences may also remember Pollack from his roles onscreen in Eyes Wide Shut, Made of Honor, Michael Clayton and as Will's father on Will & Grace.

George Clooney paid tribute to his Michael Clayton costar saying, "Sydney made the world a little better, movies a little better and even dinner a little better."
