How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris set to topline in a big screen adaptation of The Smurfs, the blue do-gooders from the 1980s cartoon.
Scooby-Doo director Raja Gosnell says the new Smurf fest will be the now-usual mixture of live action and computer generated animation.
Filming begins on Smurfs: The Movie in April as soon as the former Doogie Howser aka Dr. Horrible wraps this season’s shooting of HIMYM.
No word yet on who’ll play Smurfette, the lone female, in a world of manly Smurfs.
