Portia de Rossi is turning on the charm on the set of her wife Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show – because she’s desperate to make a big TV comeback.
“She’s gone from ice queen to nice queen almost overnight,” said a close friend.
The sudden change in attitude has everyone on Ellen’s set in shock.
“Portia used to keep to herself, but now she’s all smiles, saying hi to everyone and even posing for pictures,” noted the friend.
The career of the 40-year-old “Ally McBeal” and “Arrested Development” actress has sputtered in recent years, and she’s apparently looking for a choice new project.
Said the friend: “Portia’s already put her feelers out to different networks, and she knows it won’t hurt if word spreads that she’s a great person to be around.”
