Like the “Pretty Woman” actor, Alejandra is in the middle of a high-profile divorce. Her estranged husband is Govind Friedland, the son of American mining billionaire Robert Friedland.
The two have reportedly been separated for over a year, which is around the time Alejandra met the “American Gigolo” hunk, sources revealed.
Richard, 65, has also been embroiled in a bitter divorce since 2013 when his 11-year marriage to actress Carey Lowell collapsed.
Richard and Alejandra went public for the first time on the red carpet at the 61st annual Taormina Film Festival in Sicily on June 17, where the star was honored.
The May-December lovebirds extended their Italian vacation, and The ENQUIRER snapped them getting affectionate on a beach in Taormina, where the pair shared a passionate kiss aboard a yacht.
Alejandra has reportedly been splitting her time between the actor’s home in New York City and Madrid, where her father, Ignacio Silva, is the former financial vice president of the pro football club Real Madrid.
Silver-haired fox Richard may have found his perfect match in Alejandra. She’s already been photographed with devout Buddhist Richard’s spiritual teacher, the Dalai Lama.
