Cementing his rep as a hothead bully-boy, Russell Crowe screamed obscenities and lunged at a terrified fan who’d simply asked a question at an L.A. screening of the star’s new boxing flick Cinderella Man! My spywitness says Crowe — who whines endlessly that lies are spread about him — unleashed his trademark temper when a man in the lobby asked for… the truth: “Is it true you were hit so hard by a pro boxer during filming that you were knocked out?” Eyes bulging as his face turned tomato-red, Crowe whirled and shrieked, “Listen, you tosser, how do you think you’re going to get in your car tonight with TWO BROKEN LEGS?… F— you! You’re a f—ing #*&#^%$!” Shocked, the guy protested, “Hey, man, I didn’t mean anything! I just heard you’d been knocked cold and…. Out-of-control Crowe suddenly lunged at the guy, who recoiled and stood shaking in fright as security guards and the star’s own pals quickly restrained The Gladiator, hustling him out of the building… and back to his cage!
