PR QUEEN SUSPECT SLAYS SELF

description

A suspect in the gangland style murder of Hollywood PR Queen RONNI CHASEN committed suicide before LAPD collared him.

The suspect, who’s name was not released by authorities, was wanted in the November 16th shooting of Chasen  who was pumped full of bullets in a style described by experts as not unlike a mob hit.

Chasen  was shot  driving her Mercedes-Benz near the intersection of Whittier Drive and Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills, following an after-party for the film Burlesque.

Police arrived outside a dingy Hollywood apartment building that catered to transients and low income housing and tried to serve him with an arrest warrant.

"While conducting that follow-up, the person that they were looking for showed up, "Los Angeles police Captain Kevin McClure said.

"(Officers) attempted to talk to the suspect. When they did, the suspect produced a handgun, and there was a self-inflicted gunshot wound."

The LA Times reported that the dead man named Harold had told a neighbor he had served time in the joint and was supposed to receive $10,000 claiming it was for a recently completed job.

The suspect  had previously  served time for possession of firearms and on a drug conviction.

As The ENQUIRER reported previously a report circulating out of the coroner’s office said that Chasen had been shot with 9mm hollow point ammunition and the shots were clustered around the chest — the mark of a professional hit.

Law enforcement authorities did not divulge what role the suspect played in the Chasen murder but said he had been under surveillance for some time.

"(An)end to the story or perhaps the beginning?" former LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman, who investigated the OJ Simpson homicide cases, told The Hollywood Reporter.

"The police had a search warrant in hand, which means they had sufficient probable cause that connected the suspect to the Chasen homicide."
