PAULA DEEN is cooking up a secret $100 million divorce deal with her tugboat captain husband, Michael Groover!
The National ENQUIRER has caught the Southern cooking queen concocting a real estate deal that has Paula, 68, turning over one of her homes to her angry spouse!
According to courthouse documents uncovered by The ENQUIRER, Michael has been given the couple’s 5,646-square-foot mansion in Savannah, Ga. – worth an estimated $1.3 million!
The house was signed over as a gift to 59-year-old Michael “in consideration of her natural love and affection for her husband.”
But an insider reported the expensive “gift” is part of a preemptive divorce settlement – to avoid a scandal if they split!
“Paula will do anything to avoid a nasty divorce,” the source told The ENQUIRER. “She’s just now inching her way back to respectability since the racist scandal, which nearly finished her off for good!”
As revealed by The ENQUIRER in 2013, Paula’s legendary food empire – which raked in $17 million in 2012 alone – collapsed after she admitted in a legal deposition to having used the “N-word.”
Since then, Paula has been quietly rebuilding her brand – while trying to keep a tight lid on Michael’s rumored extramarital affair that sparked divorce rumors two years ago.
In 2013, The ENQUIRER reported Michael had carried on an intimate relationship with a middle-aged brunette who we did not identify.
The woman still lives on Savannah’s Wilmington Island – just a few miles from Paula and Michael.
“Michael was at his mistress’ house nearly once a week, as regular as clockwork for a long time,” the insider told The ENQUIRER.
“Michael denied cheating, but Paula never believed him. Now, years later, she thinks she’s on her way back to the top – and wants to make sure nothing rocks her boat!”
