Nicole Richie‘s trial for driving-under-the-influence has been delayed until Aug. 16. The latest postponement assures that Dr. Terence Sean McGee will be available to testify about tests and conclusions by drug experts used by prosecutors in the case. Nicole’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, said Dr. McGee’s testimony is critical to the defense.
Nicole, who was not in court Wednesday for the hearing, has been offered a plea deal and she must now decide whether to take it or show up on Aug. 16. The terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
