NATASHA DEAD AT 45

description

Natasha Richardson has died from injuries sustained during a Canadian ski trip, a family spokesperson confirmed Wednesday evening. She was 45.

The Parent Trap actress suffered a serious head injury after an accident Monday.

According to the ski resort, Natasha fell while taking a private ski lesson on beginners’ run. "She was accompanied by an experienced ski instructor who immediately called the ski patrol," a statement from the resort says.

Natasha felt fine after her accident and refused medical assistance, opting instead to return to her hotel room, resort reps say. She later had a headache and 911 was called.

Natasha was flown from Canada to New York City’s Lenox Hill Hospital on Tuesday to be near her family. Husband Liam Neeson was by her side.

Her mother, Vanessa Redgrave, sister, Joely Richardson, and her two sons were seen visiting the hospital to say their goodbyes.

Natasha won a Tony Award in 1998 for Cabaret and has appeared in movies such as Nell, Maid in Manhattan and Gothic.
