MEET THE WORLD’S RICHEST CAT!

Cat_story

A 4 year-old ex-stray kitty named TOMMASO is now the world’s richest cat after inheriting $13.4 million in Italian properties.

Tommaso's owner, Maria Assunta, a 94-year-old childless wealthy widow, died last month, leaving her entire estate to her cat. The feline's newfound riches include cash, and properties in Rome, Milan and Calabria

But, according to strict Italian laws which prevent such heartfelt frivolity, cats can neither inherit wealth nor property.

Tommaso’s late guardian, Maria, got around THAT by naming a cat-loving nurse she met in a park as the newly-posh feline's trustee.

"I had no idea the signora had such wealth," the nurse, identified only as Stefania, told media.

Tommaso may be the world's richest cat, but he still has a long way to go to before he can catch the world's richest dog—Günter IV, a German Shepherd from Germany (natch), who is said to be worth $372 million.

Meanwhile, a reported 180,000 stray cats roam the streets of Rome daily.

FYI: This is NOT Tommaso.

It is a file picture of a former stray cat, while not rich, is still lucky  — lucky to be alive.
