probe by The National ENQUIRER has uncovered another medical emergency that had Mary Tyler Moore rushed to the hospital – the latest in a series of debilitating health issues that have left her at death’s door.

A report obtained by The ENQUIRER from Greenwich, Conn. Emergency Medical Services on Oct. 8 reveals a call was received for a “diabetic” at Mary’s backwoods Greenwich address. EMS and police sped to her estate on June 29th.

Mary was rushed to Greenwich Hospital, arriving at 7:22pm. Gregory S. Hannigan, Director of General Services for the Police Dept. of Greenwich, said there was a police response in addition to EMS being called. Hetold The ENQUIRER the incident was “medical in nature,” but declined to elaborate.

The ENQUIRER visited Mary’s home in early October, and was able to confirm that Mary remains bedridden inside.

“I’ve never seen the lady out of the house, but my boss says she’s very, very sick – like death warmed over,” a worker at the mansion whispered to The ENQUIRER. “When we’re here working she never comes outside. She stays out of sight. AndIf for some reason she emerged, we’ve been told to never speak to her and, if possible, disappear ASAP so she doesn’t see us.”

The grounds-person added: “Ideally, when we’re here — she’s someplace else. If you think she brings us lemonade and cookies, well, that just never happens. But if she’s that sick I understand why.” As The ENQUIRER reported in its Aug. 11 issue, the end is near for the 77-year-old who’s now a shell of her former self.

Mary’s battled Type 1 diabetes for 40 years, which has sapped her vigor. Diabetes leads to other ailments – many with deadly complications. Recently, she’s been plagued by kidney and heart disease and displays symptoms of
Alzheimer’s and dementia-related symptoms.

“She’s also losing her eyesight and hearing and is often confined to a wheelchair, if not outright bedridden by now,” said a key insider with Broadway Barks, an animal adoption event Mary co-founded. She’s missed their fundraising event for the past two years. The ENQUIRER also reported that Mary has resisted
being placed in a nursing home, despite the desperate urging of her husband, Dr. Robert Levine, 60.

Dr. Levine’s reasoning follows a string of seven 911 calls to their home – all for Mary – since May 2012. 2, with the most recent call in June –making it eight total. There were also two other back-to back non-medical calls to the mansion in January requiring only a police response. “The 911 calls just keep piling up,” says a worried pal. “Obviously this doesn’t bode well for any sort of turn-around or improvement in her condition. Says a worried pal: “Mary appears to be going downhill fast and her family and friends are bracing for the worst.”
