MARTHA SLAMS WANNABE GWYNETH: “I STARTED THIS WHOLE CATEGORY”

Domestic doyenne MARTHA STEWART turned her critical eye on her online rivals today, taking specific aim at GOOP guru GWYNETH PALTROW in an interview with Bloomberg TV.

“I haven’t eaten at Gwyneth’s house,” Stewart told Stephanie Ruhle, “and I’ve never seen how she lives. But, if she’s authentic, all the better. And I mean, I certainly hope she is.”

“She really wants to be a part of the lifestyle business,” Stewart continued, politely serving up a batch of left-handed compliments.

“She must be doing something right,” Stewart sniffed. “She’s a charming pretty person, who … um … has a feeling for lifestyle.” Adding: “She wants to be a lifestyle arbiter? Fine. Good. I think I started this whole category of lifestyle!”

This isn’t the first time that Stewart and Paltrow – who’s bestselling new cookbook, It’s All Good, has drawn mixed reviews from critics – have crossed serving knives – their quarrel goes back to 2011, when Stewart ducked out early on a dinner party for Paltrow’s first cookbook – My Father’s Daughter.
