MARIE OSMOND: KINDA SAD, KINDA GLAD!

THE Hallmark Channel is pulling the plug on MARIE OSMOND’s talk show after just one season – but sources say she’s looking on the bright side.

“Every cloud has a silver lining, and for Marie this means she’ll finally be able to slow down and spend more time with her family,” a source close to her told The ENQUIRER.

“Between her talk show and her gig in Las Vegas with her brother Donny, Marie was running herself ragged.”

The source says that Marie has been filming two talk-show episodes a day in L.A., hopping a 4 p.m. flight for Las Vegas, and then performing with Donny at the Flamingo Hotel.

“After the show, she’d grab a midnight flight back to L.A. and then start everything all over again,” continued the source. “Now, she’ll finally have some time for herself and her family.”

That’s especially important to 53-year-old Marie because she’s anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first grandchild.

As The ENQUIRER was first to report, Marie’s eldest son, Steve Craig, 30, is finally making good on his promise to give the superstar a grandchild.

Insiders say Steve and his wife Claire are praying for a boy. As we reported in 2011, the couple hope to name their baby Michael in tribute to Steve’s adopted brother, who committed suicide at age 18.

“Now Marie will have more time to bond with the baby,” noted the source. “She said, ‘God has a plan for all of us, so I have to believe this is just part of His plan for me!’”
