Liza Minelli begs producers of Anne Hathaway/Judy Garland biopic not to show drugs!
The lovely Anne Hathaway will be starring as Minelli’s late mum in the Weinstein Company’s two- fer – a Broadway musical AND film based on Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland.
Liza who approved the casting off Hathaway is hopeful the film will focus on her superstar mother’s talent and not the well documented descent into drug addled madness.
"Well, I love Anne Hathaway," Liza said. "And I hope that it’s a good movie and I hope that it’s true. You know, that they don’t just concentrate on the crap like they usually do.
"(I hope) that they talk about her the way she should be talked about which was she was a fabulous entertainer, a great mother and just a wonderful human being."
