LIES WHITNEY TOLD US

Whitney Houston’s confession to Oprah Winfrey about her druggie past was filled with self-serving lies charges those close to the singer and lie detection experts.

The 46-year-old Grammy winner spoke with Oprah about her lengthy battle with drug addiction  but insiders insist her appearance on the talk show was just a big publicity stunt to drum up sales for her new album and that she didn’t tell the truth!

"It looked like Whitney had been coached before she went on camera," said a source close to the performer. "She talked in an odd whisper and was tripping over her own lies."

The source claims the singer glossed over the seriousness of her cocaine use and the extent of her drug problems.

During the interview, Whitney  denied ever using crack cocaine. Instead, she described how she’d sprinkle the powdered form of the drug over marijuana and smoke the combination in a cigarette form, referring to it as "freebasing."

"In Whitney’s mind, freebasing is a more refined method of taking the drug," the friend explained.

But Whitney slipped up later in the interview when she admitted her drug of choice was "weed combined with rock cocaine" which is another name for crack!

The ENQUIRER has reported extensively in the past about Whitney’s addiction to crack cocaine, a lethal form of the drug formed into a solid form by "cooking" the cocaine powder with baking soda.

And the singer’s former sister-in-law and fellow drug user, Tina Brown, told The ENQUIRER in a series of exclusive interviews in 2006 that Whitney regularly purchased "eightballs" of crack and that her habit was "out of control."

Atlanta-based body language expert Patti Wood, author of Success Signals: Understanding Body Language, says Whitney’s bizarre response when Oprah asked if she was now drug-free was a dead giveaway that the singer wasn’t being truthful.

After blurting out "Yes, ma’am," Whitney "paused significantly and her voice became stilted"in response to the question, Wood observed.

"She blinked her eyes, which means she went into a retreat mode. And she balled her hands into fists and brought them to her chest as if she were beating herself up.

She knew what she was saying was not the truth."

"Whitney’s interview with Oprah was just a fraud," a source said. "I think Whitney was lying through her teeth."
