At four years old Marina Chapman said she was kidnapped and then abandoned in a Colombian jungle but then stayed alive by eating monkeys' left over nuts and imitating their behavior.

Chapman, now in her mid 60s, said on The Today Show she could no longer remember her parents nor her own name.

But real or fantasy? Fact or fiction?

“It's not imagination,’’ Chapman told NBC’s “Today” show. “I know. I know what I know, I'm very sure. You become resilient, and you survive.”

In her book, “The Girl With No Name: The Incredible True Story of a Child Raised by Monkeys,” Chapman said she lived among the Capuchin monkeys for five years before hunters found her.

They promptly sold her to a brothel in Cucuta, Colombia in exchange for a parrot.

She finally escaped and became a street thief before being fostered by a family in Bogota during her teens.

“There's no evidence she's lying,’’ Douglas Candland, a psychology professor at Bucknell University who specializes in feral children, told Today.

“What happens over time is of course the more you tell the story, some aspects of it get sharper, and some get forgotten.”

And despite her age Chapman did prove she could still scale trees like the wildest of simians.

POP FYI: “Tarzan” was work of a fiction was created by Edgar Rice Burroughs. His name means “White Ape”. Chapman was reputedly raised by monkeys. Apes and monkeys are not the same genus for you anthropological primate buffs out there.
