KATHERINE HEIGL IS LATEST VICTIM OF BAD BLOOD ON 'GREY'S ANATOMY'

Katherine Heigl is the new pinata on the set of "Grey's Anatomy"!

After the beautiful blonde threatened to quit while negotiating a raise, network brass and cast members tore into her, say sources.

What's worse, the bitter dispute exploded into the open - and the 28-year-old actress is trading angry words with her bosses.

"When Katherine felt the raise offered to her was less than other cast members, she threatened to bolt," an insider told The ENQUIRER.

But ABC played hardball, issuing a public statement pointing out that Katherine wasn't going anywhere because she's under contract.

The network said producers offered Heigl a significant raise and smugly added: "We have a long-term contract to ensure she'll be with the show for several years to come."

The confrontation has alienated Katherine, who plays Dr. Izzie Stevens on the show, from much of the cast - and she's no longer talking to her former best friend Kate Walsh, say sources.
