TV Martyr Mom Kate Gosselin shoots pilot for chat show, has teary meltdown…again.
The taping of a new talk show pilot featuring Kate alongside such stalwarts as Early Show Rene Syler, Lee Woodruff and host Paula Deen was halted as waterworks ensued from Kate as she broke down in tears over her divorce and how’s it affecting the eight.
"Producers flashed a picture of Kate’s children on a screen and she burst into tears," a source said.
"She said she hates being away from her children, but now that she’s to be divorced, she has to work to support them.
"She was very sad, emotional and very guarded."
Kate and Jon are sharing joint custody for now but as The ENQUIRER reported last week, a secret deal is underway to split up the kids with either parent creating new spin-off families for their spin-off TV shows.
Jon’s trying to close a deal with Mike Lohan and K-Fat for his show about divorced dads while Kate taped the chatty for working moms after her stint as guest co-host on The View.
