Judge Joe Brown might be known for keeping a cool courtroom on TV, but the former Tennessee criminal court judge was arrested after going ballistic in a Memphis courtroom earlier today.
According to sources, Brown showed up to a Memphis Juvenile Court to represent someone in a child support case.
But when workers told Brown they had no record of the case, he reportedly lost control and became “verbally abusive”.
When Brown refused Juvenile Court Magistrate Harold Horne’s verbal warnings to “calm down,” Brown was arrested on charges of Contempt of Court.
Brown was given two days in jail for the charge, but that increased to three days when he once again started yelling as he was being removed from the courtroom.
Brown’s syndicated television show was cancelled last year and he’s currently running for the position of District Attorney in Shelby County,
