IN A SICK celebration of his recent court victory, notorious womanizer JOHN EDWARDS is primed to embark on an outrageous skirt-chasing bender, say sources.
The disgraced former presidential candidate has drawn up a list of women he wants to “hook up with,” including an alternate juror and a pretty local TV reporter who covered his trial, divulge insiders.
The former North Carolina Senator d o d g e d p r i s o n when a jury found him not guilty on one count of campaign fraud and deadlocked on five others, prompting the judge to declare a mistrial.
“Horn-dog John stood in front of the TV cameras after the trial and cried crocodile tears, saying he wanted to help poor children,” scoffed a close source. “But all he really wants to do is help himself to some new romance.”
And he’s apparently not going to get any loving from his mistress Rielle Hunter, the mother of his 4-year-old love child Quinn, who’s announced she’s penned a tell-all book.
“Rielle kicked him out of her bed after it came out in his trial that he’d called her a ‘crazy slut,’ ” explained the source. “So John is now desperate for sex.”
The love-starved politician’s “hit” list includes a beautiful blonde bartender he became smitten with two and a half years ago – even though she shot him down cold back then.
In January 2010, The ENQUIRER reported that Edwards pursued gorgeous Stephanie Breshears after meeting her at the Kornerstone Bistro close to his North Carolina vacation home.
“John hasn’t gotten Stephanie out of his mind,” said the source. “He still thinks he can convince her to sleep with him. He’s twisted.”
Edwards, 59, was also reportedly hot to trot with a pretty brunette coed, identified in the press as 25-year-old Andrea Love, who met Edwards at a bar close to his Chapel Hill home. “He was ALL over her,” a source at the bar told reporters.
Another prospect is 27-year-old TV reporter Meghan Packer, who covered his trial.
“Meghan’s a knockout and a big star in Greensboro, where the trial was held,” said the source. “John watched her and joked she’d make ‘a great future Mrs. Edwards.’ ”
The overheated Lothario also has the hots for raven-haired alternate juror Denise Speight, who reportedly made him blush with her nonstop smiling during the trial.
Said the source: “Don’t be surprised if he sends her flowers and asks her out.”
