John Mayer runs from ex-GF Jessica Simpson like proverbial plague.
Jen Aniston‘s boy toy showed up solo to support emo pal Pete Wentz‘s art effort "Without You I’m Just Me" at Gallery 1988 in LA but ran when he realized Pete’s sis-in-law, Daisy Duke herself, Jessica Simpson, would be making an appearance.
"John showed up early for the public viewing and took pictures with fans, but left before the VIP portion of the evening started," a spy told the NY Daily News.
"He wanted to be there for Pete, but wanted more to avoid the possibility of a dramatic encounter with Jess."
Maybe Jen Aniston is keeping John on a short leash after all.
