OPRAH protégée and ex-Playmate JENNY McCARTHY quits sinking Oprah Network!
Winfrey’s basic cabler OWN, which has struggled with lackluster ratings, has suffered yet another blow as Jenny ankles the net, Fox411.com reported.
Jenny was creating series for the corpulent chatty’s net after inking a development deal back in 2009.
“Jenny wasn’t thrilled with the direction that OWN producers were going with on the show,” a source told Fox411.
“She had been working with Oprah and her producers for over a year, developing this project for OWN.
"Jenny finally decided to embrace Oprah’s philosophy, which is to ‘follow your bliss.’
"Well, Jenny followed her bliss and walked right OFF the project.”
An OWN rep has since confirmed the Jenny split to FOX411.com.
McCarthy has taken the concept for the show she developed for OWN to NBC.
