A music festival in the Bahamas co-organized by rapper Ja Rule turned out to be Gilligan’s Island for its attendees!

The “Fyre Festival” — advertised as a “boutique luxury music festival” being held at The Exuma Islands, charged concert-goers between $4,000 and $12,000.

The high costs were supposed to cover “chartered private flights” from Miami, “private luxury tents” and yacht rides, along with performances from dozens of artists.

Instead, chartered flights turned out to be coach seats with severe delays.

But these folks should have stayed on the plane.

Upon arriving, shocked travelers found the festival grounds were littered with half-built disaster relief tents and mountains of trash!

Catered meals were nothing more than a slice of bread and cheese, with Festival staff and security nowhere to be found!

Wild dogs roamed loose around festival grounds while attendees got into verbal and physical confrontations with locals!

In addition to flights to the islands being cancelled, hundreds of pieces of luggage were lost in transit only to finally show up by truck hours later.

“We are working right now on getting everyone [off] the island SAFE that is my immediate concern,” posted Ja Rule to his Twitter account.

“I will make a statement soon. I’m heartbroken at this moment my partners and I wanted this to be an amazing event it was NOT A SCAM as everyone is reporting I don’t know how everything went so left but I’m working to make it right by making sure everyone is refunded… I truly apologize as this is NOT MY FAULT… but I’m taking responsibility I’m deeply sorry to everyone who was inconvenienced by this…,” added the rapper.

Music fans also took to Twitter to show their frustration via the account, “FyreFestivalFraud” (@FyreFraud).
