Marilyn Chambers who went from Ivory Snow cover girl to 1970s porn queen dead at 57.
Her body was discovered by her daughter McKenna,17, in the mobile home she had been living for the past few months. Cause of death is pending autopsy results.
Chambers who was born Marilyn Ann Briggs, made 16 XXX movies from 1972 to 1986 after having modeled as a young mother on the cover of Ivory Snow laundry detergent.
The unprecedented success of Deep Throat led to Chambers starring in Behind the Green Door (1972) which grossed millions in the fledgling adult chic market. She later starred in her own series Marilyn Chambers’ Private Fantasies while married to her manager, Chuck Traynor.
Chambers also appeared in horror maven David (Crash) Cronenberg‘s early shocker Rabid.
