IS IT TRUE WHAT THEY’RE SAYING ABOUT ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER?!

Arnold story
Shocking new developments for the once and future macho action man, ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER! The ENQUIRER separates steamy fact from seamy fiction!

Despite an abrupt turnaround from his return to acting in the wake of his love child scandal and divorce from Kennedy queen, MARIA SHRIVER, Arnold is back in action, Lionsgate confirmed to The ENQUIRER.

Arnold will topline action flick "The Last Stand" for Lionsgate with Lorenzo di Bonaventura producing. The film will be helmed by South Korean director Kim Jee-Woon ("A Tale of Two Sisters," "The Good, the Bad, the Weird").

"The Last Stand" unfolds in a border town and Arnold plays a Sheriff dealing with an escaped drug cartel leader on the Mexican border.

Arnold’s character is a man who has resigned himself to a life of small town crime fighting after leaving his LAPD post after a botched cop-op that crippled his partner.

"When he came on the screen in 'The Expendables,' it always electrified the audience," Lionsgate prexy Joe Drake divulged.  "Arnold will bring incredible magnetism to this complex but classic role."

Buoyed by response to his onscreen appearance with Bruce Willis and Sly Stallone in the brawny actioner, Arnold was more than gung-ho to get guns blazing again.  But when he was caught cheating, Arnold backed away from his planned post-Governator return to movies.

Now, that Maria has filed for divorce and appears to be playing hardball, Arnold may have no choice but to get busy onscreen ASAP.

He may need the money if Maria takes him to the cleaners.
