UPDATE: Jennifer Hudson ID-s body of 7 year old nephew Julian.
The FBI at a press conference in Washington DC stated that the body of a 7 year old African American boy found in a SUV is "believed to be" Julian King.
While Chicago cops remain mum, the Amber Alert for the missing boy has now been called off.
The victim’s body was found in a 1994 white Chevy Suburban after a police all points bulletin was issued for it. The vehicle is registered to Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson‘s late brother Jason who was found murdered along with their mother Darnelle Donerson at their Chicago home on Friday.
FBI Deputy Director John Pistole told media that cops found a body "who we believe to be the missing victim in Chicago, the nephew of Jennifer Hudson. We are working with Chicago police to get a positive identification of the victim."
Chicago TV reported that the Cook County Medical Examiner and local PD rushed to the city’s west side after receiving information that the fugitive SUV was parked on a street.
Television footage showed the SUV being jacked onto a tow truck as it then left the scene with the victim’s body still inside.
Suspect in the triple-murder-case, William Balfour, estranged husband of Julia Hudson, remains in police custody. He is not the boy’s father.
Balfour is on parole after serving nearly seven years for attempted murder.
After being picked up by police late Friday night, he was transferred to the Illinois Department of Corrections "based on his active parole violation unrelated to this investigation."
Sources close to the investigation said that the boy was shot multiple times in the back of the vehicle. Forensics are currently conducting tests on the clothing of "a man in custody" for gunshot residue.
