America’s greatest mystery the fate of skyjacker DB COOPER remains unsolved as Feds admit new lead has hit literal dead end.

After media frenzy erupted after the FBI said they had hot new leads and a possible suspect, Feds now admit they have nada.

The most promising suspect in the unsolved 1971 sky heist "has been deceased for upwards of 10 years,"FBI special agent Frederick Gutt told media.

The FBI said it had traced a guitar strap once belonging to the suspected robber, but the prints on it turned out to be unreadable.

Nor were possible DNA traces.

Feds are now hoping to get other possessions from the deceased’s family that may net forensic evidence.

After threatening to blow up a Northwestern Airlines jet over Washington State in 1971, Cooper, acting alone, bailed out with $200,000 from a bank heist.

Neither the loot nor Cooper were ever seen again.
