Take me out to base-BAWL as fans taunt Gary Sinise and dump on Jerry O’Connell.
The two pals were at a game at Dodgers Stadium when a flock of boozy fans recognized Sinise from Forrest Gump and then began taunting him buy calling him the name of his character double-amputee Lieutenant Dan.
At first it seemed amusing but when the crazed Angelinos kept it up, ruining Gary’s day at the ball park, O’Connell took ACTION!
"I had to go up to the cheap seats and tell these guys to stop yelling ‘Lieutenant Dan!’ " Jerry said. "They sort of obliged."
As Jerry trudged back, he heard a new taunt from above.
"I get back to my seat and all they kept yelling was ‘Hey, it’s the fat kid from Stand By Me!"
Good thing he didn’t respond with The Fat Kid from Stand By Me who’s NOW married to hottie Rebecca Romijin – he might still be Dodgin‘ Cracker Jack boxes.
