Cops turn up the heat on ROBERT WAGNER and CHRISTOPHER WALKEN in wake of bombshell new NATALIE WOOD coroner’s report.

In a bombshell NATIONAL ENQUIRER cover story we reveal that ROBERT WAGNER is facing the heat after officials concluded his wife NATALIE WOOD could have been BEATEN before she died in a controversial boating “accident” 31 years ago.

Also aboard her yacht “Splendour” that fateful night was Natalie’s  “Brainstorm” co-star Christopher Walken.

According to the boat’s captain, a fight erupted after a boozy night of partying.

Natalie’s lifeless body was found floating in the waters off Catalina Island in November 1981. Wood’s death was initially ruled an accidental drowning, but in 2011, Los Angeles Sheriff’s detectives reopened the case.

The latest startling conclusion puts in doubt earlier findings that the injuries were caused after Natalie, 43, fell off her yacht and was trying to climb back aboard.

Following the release of the new findings by the Los Angeles County Coroner on Jan. 14, family members and legal experts told The ENQUIRER that Wagner, 82, isn’t off the hook.

“It puts Wagner in peril,” nationally renowned crime expert and former Denver prosecutor Craig Silverman told The ENQUIRER. “It’s bad news for him. It could be Los Angeles law enforcement has LOTS more information. “

And Natalie’s devoted sister Lana Wood told The ENQUIRER in an exclusive interview: “Was she murdered? I hoped and prayed for 30 years that wasn’t the case.

“Now my worst fears are coming to the surface.”
