ANNETTE FUNICELLO lost her long, brave battle against multiple sclerosis on April 8 – and The ENQUIRER has the touching inside story of how her loving children and devoted husband Glen Holt healed their rift before making a painful decision.

“During the last days of her life, Annette’s family all came to say their goodbyes,” recalled a source close to the beloved actress.

“That’s when her kids and Glen made up.”

As The ENQUIRER previously reported, Annette’s kids with her first husband — Gina, Jack Jr. and Jason — were at odds with Glen, 82, when he moved their mom to a remote ranch in rural Bakersfield, Calif., after their Los Angeles home burned down.

“Annie and Glen lived out in the sticks,” said the source. “It was like she was being held captive.”

But as the former Mouseketeer’s health deteriorated in her last days, Annette’s family came together to bid her farewell.

In a special tribute, The ENQUIRER looks back on the life of the inspiring Disney star and “Beach Party” movie icon in words and photos – and tells the heartbreaking story of her final hours.
