No big shocker here: Star Jones has filed for divorce from her husband, Al Reynolds!
The filing took place on March 26 in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan, according to Entertainment Tonight. The court papers were marked as an “Uncontested Matrimonial” case by the court and the records were sealed.
In a statement, Jones said, “Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone’s life that requires privacy with one’s thoughts. I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman.”
In our March 17 issue, The ENQUIRER exclusively revealed that the former View co-host had decided the marriage was over and had kicked Al out of their New York City home. Sources said she was frustrated over Al’s failure to contribute financially to their 3 1/2-year marriage. The couple’s marriage has been haunted by gay rumors.
