ENQUIRER EXCLUSIVE: BOBBY BROWN DRAMA AT WHITNEY FUNERAL

Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown

NATIONAL ENQUIRER reporter Belinda Robinson reports breaking news from the funeral of WHITNEY HOUSTON at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, N.J. on Saturday afternoon.

Drama erupted involving Whitney’s ex-husband, singer BOBBY BROWN, eyewitnesses report.

Finally showing up late after the start of the celeb-packed noon service, Bobby attempted to enter the church with an unidentified woman and an entourage of six to nine people.

While he was apparently permitted to stay, the others were told they couldn’t enter the service and sit in the family section.

So Bobby left with the group, speeding off in a car.

His and Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina was already seated inside when the drama erupted.

In another development, Associated Press added that Bobby briefly appeared inside the church, walked to the casket, touched it and then walked out

Houston's cousin singer Dionne Warwick presided over the funeral.

Among the mourners were Whitney’s mom Cissy Houston, BeBe Winans, Rev. Kim Burrell, Stevie Wonder, Oprah Winfrey, Alicia Keys, Tyler Perry, Ray J and his sister Brandy as they paid tribute to the departed diva who began her career singing in the Newark church. Bobbi Kirina and Cissy clutched each other throughout, trying to hold on.

Music kingpin Clive Davis told the grieving 300, "You wait for a voice like that for a lifetime".

Kevin Costner, Whitney’s "The Bodyguard" costar, remembered “Nippy” (Whitney's nickname) as insecure and uncertain of her own fame, who continually questioned "'Am I good enough? Am I pretty enough? Will they like me?'"

"It was the burden that made her great and the part that caused her to stumble in the end," Costner said.

Filmmaker Tyler Perry praised her "grace that kept on carrying her all the way through, the same grace led her all the way to the top of the charts. She sang for presidents."

A recording of Whitney singing "I Will Always Love You," closed the grim homecoming.
