Interior decorator and close Mellon pal Bryan Huffman told jurors that the former Kennedy confidant was “euphoric” whenever Edwards came to her estate to flirt with the love starved heiress and snare campaign donations earmarked to cover-up mistress Rielle Hunter and their love child.

“She liked how he looked, what he espoused and what good he could do for the country,” Huffman told the federal jury, reiterating other witnesses have testified saying Mellon had been smitten with Edwards since meeting him in back 2004, when she was 94.
“There goes the next president of the United States,” Huffman, 48, recalled her saying wistfully after a December 2005 rendezvous with Edwards at her 4,000-acre estate.
