LATEST: DOUGLAS son gets 5 years behind bars instead of mandatory ten.
PREVIOUSLY: Wall Street star Michael Douglas begs for his drug dealing imprisoned son Cameron by outing family addicts.
Michael pleaded with a judge to show mercy on his drug-dealing son, writing an impassioned letter about the burden of having a Hollywood legend as a father.
In his case, that would be Kirk Douglas aka Spartacus.
"I have some idea of the pressure of finding your own identity with a famous father," wrote Michael.
"I’m not sure I can comprehend it with two generations to deal with," adding that he still believes his troubled son could become "a positive force to society."
The neatly handwritten five-page letter, made public yesterday, also noted troubled son Cam had struggled with drugs since 13, and comes from a long line of addicts.
The names of Douglas relatives who have battled addiction are blacked out in the publicly released letter.
No real mystery there – brother Eric Douglas died of a drug OD and his dad Kirk has admitted boozing in his best selling memoirs.
Cam was facing a mandatory minimum of 10 years behind bars for admittedly selling methamphetamine and cocaine in bulk at posh NYC Hotel Gansevoort in 2009. Guess Daddy got the job done.
