“Wilmer proposed over a candlelight dinner,” an insider told The National ENQUIRER. “It was very romantic, and Demi said ‘yes!’”
They’re keeping the engagement under wraps so they can enjoy the moment privately, according to the source.
“They plan to deny it publicly. They aren’t in a rush to get a ring that she can’t wear yet,” the source said.
Wilmer, 35, and Demi, 23, split after her substance abuse relapse in 2012. But Wilmer is determined to stand by her in the future.
“He was pressured to drop Demi back then,” the source said. “But now he says, ‘I’m never leaving again.’”
