C omedy legend Robin Williams’ final days deteriorated into a horrific nightmare with bouts of Parkinson’s disease, depression and paranoia, The National ENQUIRER has
confirmed.

Tragically, according to the Oscar winner’s autopsy and toxicology report, his brain was also showing signs of dementia.

“Neuropathy findings in this case support the diagnosis of diffuse Lewy body dementia,” the report reads.

In a sad example of life imitating art, the 63-year-old actor also began suffering from “increased paranoia,” just like the schizophrenic character he brilliantly portrayed in “The Fisher King.”

The evening before his Aug. 11 suicide, Robin put several expensive watches in a sock and gave them to an unidentified person for safekeeping.

Robin’s wife, Susan, was the last to see him alive that evening. The following morning she left their Tiburon, Calif., home to run errands.

Susan and a pal found Robin later that day after jimmying the door to his stepson’s bedroom, where he had been sleeping due to restlessness.

Robin was found in a seated position hanging from a closet door with a black nylon belt “secured around his neck. A folded white towel was looped over the belt, separating the belt from the skin … possibly used the towel in order to avoid pain,” according to the Marin County coroner’s report.

The evidence also showed Robin made attempts to slash his wrist due to “several superficial vertical and horizontal cuts” on his bloodied left arm.

Toxicology reports showed Robin had two antidepressants and two caffeine compounds in his blood at the time of his death. While he long battled problems with alcohol and cocaine, none were found in his system.
