Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are now the proud parents of twins – girl, Vivienne Marcheline and a boy, Knox Leon!
Angelina gave birth at Foundation Lenval Hospital in the South of France around 6:30 pm Saturday July 12. The girl weighted 5 pounds and the boy 5.03
Dr. Michel Sussman, the ob who delivered the "two-fer" confirmed the birth by phone to Associated Press.
"Everything is going well," said Sussmann. "The mother, the babies, the father are doing marvelously well."
Sussman believed the girl to be named in honor of Jolie’s mother Marcheline Bertrand, who died in January from cancer
Sussman also revealed the Caesarean op was moved forward from its planned date of July 15 Tuesday to late Saturday night for medical reasons. No further explanation was given.
Jolie is expected to stay in the Lenval Hospital for a few more days for observation.
Nice Matin, the local French daily, first broke the news that exclusive rights to twin pics have been brokered to a US pub for an undisclosed – but suspected $11 million. The proceeds will go to charity as per Brangelina.
Brad and Angelina have four other children together: Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; Zahara, 3; and Shiloh, 2.
The ENQUIRER predicted weeks ago the twins would be born on or around July 14th – Bastille Day.
Now the French really have something to celebrate tomorrow — as well as Brad and Angie.
