Bob returns to the NBC Olympic hotseat but he’s still suffering from pinkeye (viral conjunctivitis) after both Matt Lauer and Meredith Vieria filled in for the ailing sportsplug.
“There’s still some redness there,” he admitted. “It will probably be better in 10 days but by then the Olympics will be over.”
But WHERE was he?
Bob confesses he was in the dark – like totally.
“The worst three days of it I was primarily in a darkened room."
His Black Sea facing hotel room was a far cry by from what other journos experienced at the Russkie Olympiad hotels.
Worst of all – Bob’s pink eye prevented him from watching any TV.
Until yesterday when he saw Meredith Vieira doing his shtick.
