‘Titanic’ star Bill Paxton hid a serious heart problem before dying of a stroke while undergoing surgery, The National ENQUIRER has learned.
“We didn’t even know he was going into surgery,” confided Bill’s brother-in-law, Jon Otten. “It’s very tragic and sudden.”
Bill, 61, died on Feb. 25.
Just weeks earlier, the “Twister” storm-chaser revealed he’d been diagnosed as a child with rheumatic fever. It damaged at least one of his heart valves, and he’d had surgery on it.
“The recent operation was to fine-tune the original surgery,” said Jon.
“We are proud of Bill’s legacy,” he added.
