DONNA DOUGLAS who starred as Elly May Clampett on The BEVERLY HILLBILLIES is suing Barbie!

Douglas is suing Mattel Inc., the makers of Barbie, charging that the toy company used her name and likeness for a Barbie doll without her authorization.

In a federal suit filed in Baton Rouge, La., the suit states packaging for the "Elly May" Barbie doll features a photo of Donna Douglas portraying the character.

Douglas says she never endorsed the doll nor gave Mattel permission to use her name to promote its sale before the doll was intro’d last December for Xmas.

In the past, Mattel made other "nostalgia dolls" of iconic TV femmes including Barbara Eden's from "I Dream of Jeannie" and  Elizabeth Montgomery's from "Bewitched."

"Elly has always been good for me," Donna, a Louisiana native told AP.

"That was a slice out of my life, a very happy slice out of my life."

But now it appears she wants a hefty slice of Mattel’s alleged unauthorized Barbie action.
