THE BACHELOR” contestant Amy Long – who once played Cinderella at Disney World – went on the show looking for her Prince Charming. But the brunette beauty found her happily-ever-after with former “Bachelorette” hopeful Brooks Forester, NOT current “Bachelor” Juan Pablo Galavis!

Sources tell The ENQUIRER that Amy, 27, applied for the show believing that Brooks would be this season’s “Bachelor.”

When Amy learned that South American soccer hunk Juan Pablo was chosen instead, she wanted to back out – but it was too late!

“Amy was furious,” said an insider. “She vowed she wasn’t going to show Juan any attention and hoped he would send her packing the first night.”

While Amy survived the first cut, she was eliminated at the second rose ceremony. Meanwhile, Brooks left Season 9 of “The Bachelorette” after making it to the final three, telling Desiree Hartsock that he wasn’t in love with her. That apparently got Amy’s hopes up for a reality show connection with him.

“Brooks was so popular that Amy thought he was a shoo-in as the next ‘Bachelor,’” said the insider. “So she signed up for that show shortly after ‘The Bachelorette’ finale aired.”

Her strategy didn’t pan out, but before leaving the show, Amy got Brooks’ phone number from someone on the production team – and she called him right away. “He was flattered,” said the insider. “Amy and Brooks’ friendship has since developed into a romantic relationship.”

Brooks, a 29-year-old marketing consultant from Salt Lake City, even tweeted about spending New Year’s Eve with Amy in Miami.

Said the insider: “Now, Amy’s telling pals she hopes she’ll get her ‘Bachelor’ after all.”
