Outta nowhere —ASHLEE SIMPSON has filed for divorce from hubby PETE WENTZ today, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
RadarOnline.com reports that the filing went down today as Ashlee Simpson-Wentz filed for divorce.
The 26-year-old ex-Melrose Place star married the Fall Out Boy rocker at her parents’ Encino home in May 2008, and the two have a 3-year-old son named Bronx Mowgli Wentz.
Ashlee, who’s represented by powerhouse attorney Laura Wasser, is requesting joint legal custody and primary physical custody of Bronx, as well as spousal and child support.
Stacy Phillips will representing Illinois native Pete, 31.
The split comes as a shock in Hollywood, where the pair were believed to be a happy duo.
Sources say Ashlee and Pete did not have a prenuptial agreement.
